Dr Michele Kiernan

Dr Michele Kiernan – Director

Dr Michele Kiernan is a senior technician in the Faculty of Health at the University of Plymouth, with extensive experience in laboratory management and applied research. She previously held a Research Fellow position in systems biology, leading work in genomics and molecular analysis.

Her research experience includes next-generation sequencing, digital PCR, and qPCR, with applications across a range of fields including soil microbiology, the oral microbiome, and neurological health.

Michele contributes technical and analytical expertise to Seadream’s work, supporting environmental monitoring, data collection and processing, molecular analysis and research development.
