Dr Juliette Jackson – Founder and Director

Dr Juliette Jackson is a climate change scientist and community engager with over 20 years’ experience in research, education, and public engagement. She was awarded her PhD for research on the environmental design of coastal defences and has worked on interdisciplinary projects at the University of Plymouth spanning marine science, ecology, coastal processes, and renewable energy.

Juliette is the founding director of Seadream Education CIC and leads the development and delivery of community-based programmes that improve access to natural environments and support mental wellbeing. She has extensive experience in project design, partnership development, and securing and managing funded programmes.

Her work focuses on reducing inequalities in access to science and natural environments, particularly for underserved and rural communities. She has successfully developed inclusive approaches that support participation from individuals with additional needs, including those with disabilities and low confidence in outdoor settings.

Juliette also has experience in governance and leadership, including her role as a secondary school governor, where for 8 years she contributed to teaching and learning strategy and equality and diversity priorities.
